Why they charge so much and how they continue to get away with it is covered in the details below if you care to read it.   But for now here is an overview of my affordable business model for shooting senior photos, my promise of quality, my money back guarantee and a challenge you can make me to prove quality is as good or pay nothing.

Step 1. the shoot:
I will offer to digitally shoot your senior class photos for the time it takes to travel there and take the pictures in a variety of poses, outfits, locations, backgrounds whatever you want done and how ever long you want to pay my time. 

Step 2.: Review:
When we are done I will do a quick review of the photos taken, remove any really bad ones, separate the really good ones based on my professional opinion,  do a quick Crop, color or brightness series of changes as needed to make them print ready.

Step 4: Hand off
I will then put all photos onto a single CD and hand it to you before I leave.  I will also leave with you my current knowledge and research into the known quality and pricing of several different printing labs in the area.

Step 5: Printing
From here on It's up to you to go to the lab and make exactly how many prints you want of which poses for the price you can afford.  you can do them all at once or one at a time when you have the extra money and happen to be at the store that prints them in an hour while you shop. 

Convenience, affordable prices, top quality.  you cant ask for anything better than that.

When we are done, you can print what you want, when you want, where you want, and if you want, you don't have to print any of them at all.  You can modify them to make them even better. than as taken or make them goofy and give them to your friends.

No pressure sales.   You take the CD home with you and sort out all the pictures at your leisure.  view it on your PC,  make a print decision when viewed on a large monitor, ask others which ones they like, emails a few to distannt family members,  take your time to decide which ones to print.  Change the pictures in a photo editing program if you want,  make test prints on your ink jet printer at home, Then when your happy with it take it to the store and make a Photo from your digital image.

Many parents are hesitant toward using the new technologies too but your a graduating senior of high school in the 21st century and sine they are your photos to begin with you can be responsible of them and take care o the printing for mom and dad.  it's not hard at all, just pick the right photo and decide what size and how many to print and print a receipt, then the photos are done you inspect them, if you don't like the quality of them or if you printed the wrong one , you simply tell them you don't want it and you don't get it or have to pay for it.  they also have knowledge able staff members there at all times to help you for free. 

it cots nothing to shop around too. make a test print at a shop and id you don't like don't buy it, go to another shop, make a test print, do that until you find a place that prints it the way you like and stick with them for more. 

as a teen in the internet age you properly already know how to upload files to a web site like my space so you should have no trouble uploading them to a web site of an internet printing house or your local store's web site instead of going there and maybe waiting for someone else to finish first.  up to you .  I just take the pictures and you get to play with them for ever.

hell of a better deal than you getting a few poses and pricing one or two for them then getting 5 prints and then have to go back to them to get one more for someone you forgot instead of printing it in an hour and they will never know you forgot them in the printing decision.    now all family members, and all your friends, teachers and co workers can all have a print of your senior class photo.  and as you change boy/girl friends you can have more prints made as you make more friends or change your current boy/girl friend  to someone else.

in this age you should not have any problem operating the easy to use machine at the store or uploading the photos to a internet printing house.  

I can also offer to do the printing for you but it will cost you and take up my time from doing other shoots.

from the vast number of photos taken on the CD.  which poses, backgrounds, and outfits from the shoot or can take them to any corner store that has a photo processing machine and get great quality photos for less than $10 for an 8x10.  If you want professional quality take them to a Photography or camera store who also offer one hour processing on machines at the highest quality.  for about $40 for an 8x10

however this is 2006 and the Digital camera and imaging has matured to bring the same quality as film.  But it costs nothing to take digital photos, where as Film you have the cost of film and developing then making a print is another step in the dark room.
